Being an official remake of the Hindi film Nil Battey Sannata, the director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari shares that it was Dhanush who chose Amala Paul to reprise the role played by Swara Bhaskar in the original film. This weekend we have the release of Amma Kanakku on Friday along with a comedy drama Raja Mandhiri and an action flick Metro starring Shirish, Sendrayan and Bobby Simha in lead roles.
