Parineeti Chopra who was last seen in Kill Dill is said to have signed for the Bindu role in Meri Pyaari Bindu just because she could get the opportunity to sing. She will be playing an aspiring singer and as a Tamil girl living in Kolkata. The male lead played by Ayushmann Khurrana will portray the role of Bengali babu Abhimanyu Roy who is a writer and a horror novelist. Director Akshay Roy is making the film as a cross cultural love story between the Tamil girl and a Bengali boy and we already received few glimpses of them while shooting at Kolkata. Produced by Maneesh Sharma for Yash Raj Films, both the main leads possess good voice naturally and hence they will be lending their voices for a couple of songs in the film. In this way, the lady is excited to do her Bindu role as she will croon her voice for the first time. She will be making her singing debut for the song starting with the lines ‘Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin’. Also the actor Ayushmann is making a comeback through this film after a gap of 2 years and will be playing Bengali for the first time in his career. This romantic love story will be set in old Calcutta.
