Ace director P.Vasu had announced earlier this month that he will be remaking the Kannada horror Shivalinga in Tamil with Raghava Lawrence in the main lead. He will be reprising the role played by Shiva Rajkumar. While the rest of the cast remained unknown and now we get a word on Shakthi Vasu, the director’s son to share the screen space with Lawrence. Shakthi had given few films in Kollywood yet he did not get expected recognition. He had played the second hero in the original Kannada version of the film and he will be reprising the same role here. It is not sure whether the female lead played by Vedika in the Kannada version will be retained or not. If she is retained, it would be the second time for her to pair with Lawrence after Muni in 2007. To be directed as well as produced by P.Vasu, Vadivelu has been approached to be a part of the cast. If the known members of the cast are finalised, then it will be a perfect horror with the touch of comedy like in Chandramuki. The story of the film is about a detective investigating the death of the second hero whose soul has entered the body of the heroine (the detective’s wife).
