Sundar C’s next film where he plays the main lead along with Poonam Bajwa is ready to hit the screens on June 10. Muthina Kathirika is an official remake of the Malayalam political comedy Vellimoonga. This political satire is produced by his wife Kushboo under Avni Cinemax banner and is directed by his former associate & dialogue writer Venkat Raghavan. Sundar C plays the role of a middle aged bachelor and a politician. Venkat shares that though it is a political parody, it does not bring out anything against politicians and is just an entertainer. Moreover, as the title suggests, the role played by Sundar C who is in his 40s falls in love with Poonam who is in the age of his daughter is the prime focus. Satheesh plays one of the important supporting role and comes along with the actor throughout the film. The supporting cast also consists of VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Kiran Rathod and Singampuli to make it a laughing riot. Recently the movie had cleared the censor procedures with a clean U certificate allowing it to open for the family audiences. Music score by Siddharth Vipin has also got good reception among the audiences.
