Vishal is all geared to make his next release Marudhu directed by Muthiah of Komban fame on May 20. Starring Sri Divya as the leading lady, it is a rural action entertainer shot in the heartland of Tamil Nadu, at Rajapalayam. It is going to rule the box office solo with no other movie releasing in this 3-day weekend. Presently the film was censored and it received the U/A certification owing to the violent action scenes in the film. It was not a clean certification but had some minimal dialogue cuts. R.K.Suresh who played the deadly villain in Tharai Thappattai will also play the antagonist in Marudhu. The movie seems to run for 145 minutes i.e. 2 hours and 25 minutes. The cast also consists of Soori to play the hero's sidekick, Radha Ravi as Sri Divya's father, Aruldoss and Namo Narayana in supporting roles. Produced by Anbuchezhiyan under the banner Gopuram Films, the music album composed by D.Imman was unveiled on April 29 and was well received by the audiences.
