After directing, producing and acting in Aranmanai 2, the versatile director cum actor Sundar C. is busy with his next film Muthina Kathrika. This is a full dose comedy venture produced by him under Avni Cinemax banner and helmed by his former associate Venkat Raghavan as his directorial debut. As known earlier, it is an official remake of the Malayalam political satire Vellimoonga where Sundar C. will reprise the role played by Biju Menon. The leading lady would be Poonam Bajwa in place of Nikki Galrani in the original version. The other members of the cast includes Sathish, Kiran, VTV Ganesh, Singampuli, Yogi Babu, Sumithra, Ravi Maria, Sriman ,Chithra Lakshmanan, Singapore Deepan, Sivan Srinivasan and Uma in the supporting roles. Siddharth Vipin who last scored tunes for Hello Naan Pei Pesuren will be its music director. The movie’s plot runs around a middle aged politician falling in love with a woman and how he succeeds on both lives through interesting incidents. The talkie portions have already been shot at Chennai, Tirunelveli and New Delhi. Only few songs are left to be canned in this comedy entertainer. So official announcement on the release of teaser and first look can be expected anytime.
