The sequel to the 2007 sports comedy Chennai 28 is confirmed to roll out from April 4. An official pooja was done with the same team as we had reported earlier. To be directed by Venkat Prabhu, the cast consists of Premji Amaran, Shiva, Nithin Sathya, S.P.B.Charan in the male leads and Vijayalakshmi as the female lead. This movie marks the comeback for Vijayalakshmi after her marriage. The only addition in the cast is actor Vaibhav and the rest of the team is retained down as such. Music will be composed by the expected composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. The other members of the crew include Praveen K.L. for editing, Rajesh Yadav for cinematography and Vasuki Bhaskar for costume designing. The team is sure that they will hit back successfully this time as middle aged men playing cricket. The director had not even narrated the story to the actors of the film and yet they have been roped in trusting on the maker. But few sources reveal that he has come up with a practical brilliant script. The shooting will however take place at Chennai but Venkat Prabhu was spotted at Theni few days ago scouting for locations. Looks like a few scenes would be shot there too. This flick will be produced under the director’s own production house, Black Ticket banner and a first look motion poster was also released on February 28.
