Pugazh

Pugazh is an upcoming movie starring Jai and Surabhi in the main leads. Directed by Manimaran of Udhayam NH4 fame, it is the second venture for him and is slated to hit the screens on March 18. The cinematography is done by Velraj who also does a cameo appearance in the movie. Apart from them, R.J.Balaji and Karunas are also part of the supporting cast. We now hear few details on Surabhi’s role in the movie after her recent interview. Her role seems to be a strong one marking her comeback after playing supporting role with Dhanush in Velaiyilla Pattathari two years back. The director has also shaped it well for her and Surabhi had done her part well. She has an interesting character with 2 dimensions, one as a small town girl who comes to city in search of a job and the other how her life changes after she falls in love with the protagonist. Jai and R.J.Balaji seem to have helped Surabhi adhere well to the role and she is grateful to them. The movie is jointly produced by Varun Manian along with few others under Films Department banner and distributed by Ayngaran International. Music is composed by the duo Vivek-Mervin pair who debuted to Kollywood through Vadacurry.
