Salaam Mumbai directed by Iranian maker Ghorban Mohammadpour is the first Indo-Iranian film starring Iranian star Mohammad Reza Golzar in the male lead. Indian actress and former Femina Miss India Dia Mirza has been roped in to play his love interest. A behind the scene picture was shared by the lady in her social media space confirming the news. The movie runs around 2 medical students from India and Iran who fall in love with each other across boundaries. The movie is expected to cover the cultural legacies of the 2 countries together for the first time. It is bankrolled by Javad Norouzbeigi who had earlier produced the world acclaimed film The Song of Sparrows.
