Vijay 60 touted to be helmed by the Azhagiya Thamizh Magan maker Bharathan is in the pre-production stages with the casting process underway. The female lead is confirmed to be Keerthy Suresh, the Rajini Murugan actress.

The shooting is anticipated to roll out from April extensively at Chennai and some rural places at Andhra Pradesh around Hyderabad and Rajahmundry. Like Theri, this film has also got two heroines and the hunt for another female lead is on.

Speculations are running around that the other lady would be a popular actress. Earlier the makers were zeroing Kajal Agarwal but some sources reveal that there is only one leading lady in the film. To confirm it, we need to await the official announcement from the team.

Vijay is an Indian actor, playback singer and producer, who works in the Tamil film industry. Son of film director and producer S. A. Chandrasekhar, he started his career as a child actor in the movie Vetri and later made his debut as a lead actor in the 1992 film Naalaya Theerpu. He launched the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, a social welfare organisation in 2009.
