Kodi starring Dhanush, Trisha and Shamilee in the lead roles is having the shooting underway at Pollachi. Directed by Durai Senthilkumar and produced by the actor’s Wunderbar Films, Santhosh Narayanan is composing music for this political thriller. The recent word is that the makers are eyeing for the release of Kodi on the 4-day Ramzan weekend that falls on July 7. Also if we see Dhanush’s filmography, Velaiyilla Pattathari and Maari was released on the Ramzan days in 2014 and 2015. Besides Kodi, Dhanush is having Rail, a train journey film by Prabhu Solomon followed by an untitled film with Gautham Menon and then Vada Chennai with Vetrimaaran. Also his Hollywood entry ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir who got Trapped in the Ikea Cupboard’ is also awaiting him this year.
