Director Bala’s crafted script Tharai Thappattai has cleared the censor board recently. Though it is surrounded by the life of folk dance, there are several violent sequences in the flick that has been considered as beyond the limits by the officials. The director did not compromise for clipping those sequences and hence resulted in an Adult certificate. Else it would have fetched an U/A rating. To recall, during the shooting of the climax scene the actor had his hand injured in performing a stunt. Starring Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles, it will hit the screens on January 14 for this Pongal festival. This movie also marks the 1000th album for Isaignani and the songs released few days back are much appreciated.
