Nagarjuna’s son Akhil Akkineni had successfully made his debut in Telugu with a movie by his name Akhil: The Power of Jua. Directed by V.V.Vinayak, it was released this Diwali to attract family audiences especially children.It was a social fantasy that is now the center for many critics. But it managed to get 9.8 crores at the opening day in 117 screens and the number is expected to go up as the weekend is approaching. In Tamil Nadu it was a decent number of 0.20 crores while the overseas collection came around 0.85 crores. The story was about an orphan who does boxing for living and gets his life turned around after knowing about a metal ball named Jua. The shooting was covered in few foreign locations like Spain and made with a budget of 45 crores.
