Kamal Haasan is gearing up for the release of Thoongavanam for Diwali and simultaneously for his next. It will be a bilingual in Tamil & Telugu that is likely to run on floors from the end of this month. In a recent interview, he revealed that he is keen on working towards it, especially in the casting process. Amala Akkineni, who was last seen pairing with Kamal Haasan in Sathya in 1988 will be once again working with him after 27 years. Also Zarina Wahab who played the psychiatrist role in Vishwaroopam will also play a crucial part. Apart from these two, there will also be a young actress to share the screen space. It will be directed by the national Award winning Malayalam director T.K.Rajeev Kumar who had made his debut through ‘Chanakyan’ with Kamal in 1989. The filming will progress for only 3 months in US. The producers, title and the rest of the cast are awaited for official confirmation.
