Dhanush revealed the first-look poster of his upcoming movie, the Ilaiyaraaja biopic, on Wednesday. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, this marks their second project together after the recently released Captain Miller. The legendary musician Ilaiyaraaja will compose the music for the film.

The first-look poster says, 'Dhanush as Ilaiyaraaja,' with the tagline 'The King of Music.' The movie's title has not been announced yet. The poster shows Dhanush in a retro style, holding a harmonium, looking at Chennai in the 1970s, as a newcomer. However, his face is not visible in the poster.
The biopic is supported by Sriram Bakthisaran, CK Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Ilamparithy Gajendran, and Saurabh Mishra under the Connekkt Media, PK Prime Production, and Mercuri Movies banners. The cinematography for the film will be done by Nirav Shah, with production design by Muthuraj.

The creators of the Ilaiyaraaja biopic have not disclosed additional information about the cast and crew. The movie is expected to release nationwide in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages.

Ilaiyaraaja is an Indian film composer who works predominantly in the South Indian cinema since the late 1970s. Regarded as one of the finest music composers in India, Ilaiyaraaja is also an instrumentalist, conductor, singer, and a songwriter. He has composed more than 5000 songs and is the only composer in the history of cinema to provide film scores for more than 1000 films, particularly being acclaimed for his background scoring.
