Recently, it was announced that actor Vishal's 34th film, titled Rathnam and directed by Hari, has completed filming. The movie now has a confirmed release date in theaters. On his social media account, the actor Mark Antony shared, "Mark your calendars for our big film this summer. Rathnam will be in theaters on April 26, 2024, in both Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Hari. Coming to cinemas in the summer of 2024. Featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad. This movie is produced by Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Production and Kaarthekeyan Santhanam's Zee Studios. This upcoming film is the third project where Hari and Vishal have teamed up, following Thamirabharani (2007) and Poojai (2014). The movie was filmed in various places such as Tuticorin, Trichy, Karaikudi, Vellore, Tirupathi, as well as Chennai. In addition to Vishal, the action movie features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Menon, Murali Sharma, and Samuthirakani, among others. The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with cinematography by M Sukumar and editing by T S Jay.
