49-O is the political comedy that marks the entry of the veteran comedian Goundamani after Jaggubhai in 2010. It is directed by a debut director P.Arokiyadoss who worked as an assistant to Gautham Menon. The music composer was K who composed tunes for Yuddham Sei and Mugamoodi with Mysskin. The audio launch took place on September 6 and the members of the team along with Sivakarthikeyan and Sathyaraj were present. This movie is scheduled to release by September 17 to join the Vinayagar Chathurthi race along with Trisha Illana Nayanthara and Rajini Murugan. The poster looks like it is based on the agricultural issues faced by a farmer that is featured by the lead. Goundamani is also doing two other movies Engaluku Veru Engum Kilaigal Kidaiyathu and Vaaimai simultaneously where he is featured as the hero in both.
