We shared before that they're making a sequel to Soodhu Kavvum called Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naadum Naatu Makkalum, and Shiva is the lead actor. The creators recently showed some pictures from the making of the dark comedy and mentioned that they're almost done filming. SJ Arjun wrote and directed the movie, featuring Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Yog Japee, Aruldoss, Kalki, and Kavi. The story is by SJ Arjun and T Yogaraja. Producer CV Kumar said, "The sequel is based on an original idea by Nalan. Soodhu Kavvum 2 is 100 percent a continuation of the story from the first film." The team includes cinematographer Karthik K Thillai, music composer Edwin Louis Viswanath, and editor Ignatious Aswin. Soodhu Kavvum, a 2013 black crime comedy film directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, starred Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, Sanchita Shetty, but they won't be in the sequel.
