We previously mentioned that the creators of VD13 (also known as SVC54) had been scouting locations in America. Now, the film's creators have declared on Wednesday evening that their movie is titled Family Star. They have also released a sneak peek of the film in Telugu and Tamil. In that video, we see Vijay Deverakonda as a family man, as the movie's title suggests. We catch glimpses of him cutting onions in the kitchen and taking his kids to the school bus. Then, a villain questions Vijay about whether these tasks make him less manly. Vijay firmly denies this, demonstrating his strength by bending a rod and fighting off a man. The video ends with the female lead, Mrunal Thakur. Family Star is both written and directed by Parsuram Petla. This movie marks the reunion of Parsuram and Vijay after their previous collaboration in Geetha Govindam (2018). Parsuram's most recent work was Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022), which featured Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh. Dil Raju and Sirish, well-known producers, are producing Family Star under the banner Sree Venkateswara Creations. Gopi Sundar, the music director for Parsuram's Geetha Govindam, is also joining the film. KU Mohanan is the cinematographer, Marthand K Venkatesh is handling the editing, and AS Prakash is responsible for the production design. Family Star is set to be released in theaters on Sankranti 2024.
