The sixth edition of the 1980s actors re-union have been organized at Nina Reddy Guest House at Olive Beach, Chennai on August 29. 34 actors attended it that was helmed mainly by Suhasini, Kushbu and Lissy (wife of director Priyadarshan) for 10 days. The theme of the party was Moulin Rouge and the place designed in French style with red and beige attire and even the actors were in sizzling red dresses. Jackie shroff, Poonam Dhillon, Jayasudha, Rahman, Parvathi, Sathyaraj, Bhagyaraj and Swapna were additions in this year while Bala Krishna missed it. Others like Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal,Venkatesh, Prabhu, Mohan, Sarath Kumar, Naresh, Prathap Pothen, Jairam, Suman, Rajkumar, Bhanuchander, Sumalatha, Sarita, Radha, Radhika, Ramya Krishnan, Poornima, Menaka, Jaishree, Revathy and Shobana graced the occasion. A 10-minute audio-visual was played showing a collection of their past celebrations. There was also a karaoke by Sumaltha, Mohanlal, Suhasini, Jackie Shroff and Jayasudha while Poornima, Suhasini and Menaka danced for a song Manali Trance from Shaukeens movie. The party reached its peak when Kushboo distributed a lungi to all of them and they danced for SRK’s ‘Lungi dance’ and Jackie took 12 lungis back to Mumbai with him as a memory.
