The creators are keeping the original team, and they've shared that Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara, who were in the 2015 film, will also be in Thani Oruvan 2. Mohan Raja will once again be the director, and the filming for the new movie will start in 2024. The creators of the movie shared a short video to announce the sequel. In the video, Mohan Raja is seen sitting to write the sequel, and Ravi’s character, Mithran, is shown selecting various weapons as directed by the director. Just when the audience starts to wonder who the next opponent for Mithran will be after Siddharth Abimanyu, Mohan Raja reveals that he will be the one challenging the main character.
