Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa has decided on August 26th to set a memorial for actor Sivaji Ganesan at a land of 65 cents opposite to Sathya Studios on the banks of the Adyar river. The land was previously allotted to the South Indian Artists Association for erecting the memorial in 2002 but failed to do for 13 years. The Nadigar Thilagam had given more than 300 movies in his life time of 72 years and there were many proposals from various parties to construct it. But the Government has now taken the duty rather than responsibility of doing it by themselves. Hearing the good news, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan has extended their heartfelt thanks to the CM for honouring the legendary actor.
