The creators of Chandramukhi 2 revealed the first look poster of Raghava Lawrence as Vettaiyan on Monday. In the poster, Raghava Lawrence looks regal in a majestic suit as he descends a grand stairwell of the Chandramukhi Aranmanai (mansion). This thrilling horror film is scheduled to release in theaters on Vinayaga Chathurthi. P Vasu, the director of Chandramukhi (2005), has also directed the sequel, Chandramukhi 2. In this film, Kangana Ranaut plays the female lead role. The movie is supported by Subaskaran from Lyca Productions. Chandramukhi 2 is Kangana's third Tamil project after Dhaam Dhoom (2008) and Thalaivii (2021). In addition to Lawrence and Kangana, Chandramukhi 2 includes a talented ensemble cast featuring Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, Ravi Maria, Shrushti Dange, and more. The film's music is composed by MM Keeravani, with cinematography by RD Rajasekar and editing by Lewellyn Gonsalvez. Chandramukhi was a movie that was directly remade from a Malayalam film called Manichitrathazhu (1997). The creators of the sequel have not yet explained if it continues the story from the first movie. Chandramukhi featured Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Jyotika, Nayanthara, and Vadivelu as the main actors.
