Atharvaa Murali, a talented Tamil actor, will be making his debut on OTT with "Mathagam," a new Hotstar Original series. The show will feature Manikandan, who gained fame through "Jai Bhim," in a supporting role. The thriller series will be available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar in the near future. The teaser poster displays the half-faces of the actors and indicates that "Mathagam" will be released in several Indian languages, such as Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi. The director of the series is Prasath Murugesan, known for directing "Kidaari" and co-directing the web series "Queen," while Screen Scene Media Entertainment is responsible for production. The makers have described the show as a battle between good and evil with the tagline, "The Night is Long." Mathagam will feature an ensemble cast including actors Nikhila Vimal, Gautham Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Ilavarasu, DD (Dhivyadarshini), Vadivukarasi, Aruvi Thirunavukkarasu, Munnar Ramesh, Sarath Ravi, Rishikanth and Murali Abbas alongside Atharvaa and Manikandan. The editing is done by Praveen Antony, the stunts are choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan, and the art direction is handled by Suresh Kallery.
