The expectations for "Vaadivaasal" have risen since it was announced due to the collaboration of actor Suriya and director Vetrimaaran, prominent figures in Tamil cinema. Despite no filming yet, the title remains popular on social media. Rumors of a delay persist, but the cast and crew are working behind the scenes. Reports indicate that Vetrimaaran plans to bring in Hollywood VFX specialists for the film, similar to those used in "Avatar: The Way of Water". It is rumored that music composer GV Prakash Kumar is working on the soundtrack. Vetrimaaran is working on post-production for his two-part film "Viduthalai," starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, with the first part releasing on March 31st and the second part to follow a few months later. He is expected to start work on "Vaadivaasal" by mid-year. Meanwhile, Suriya is filming Siruthai Siva's "Surya 42," a two-part project costarring Disha Patani, Kovai Sarala, and Yogi Babu. The film features music by Devi Sri Prasad and is produced by UV Creations and Studio Green.
