The Kollywood is buzzing about Maniratnam’s next bilingual with Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan. There has been a major change in the crew now. The standard cinematographer and a close friend for the director was P.C.Sreeram but now for this movie he has opted out and Ravi Varman known for Dasavatharam, Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu and the Barfi is included. 

They are collaborating for the first time and hope he will be giving a visual treat as equal P.C.Sreeram in O Kadhal Kanmani. To Ravi Varman, it is a dream come true project to work with Mani Sir. As other details on the cast and crew are the same. Music will be composed by A.R.Rahman and Keerthi Suresh or Shruti Haasan will be the female interest. 

The child artist and the daughter of Parthiban, Keerthana Parthiban who starred in Maniratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal will be one of the assistant directors for this movie. The shooting will start from September and likely to release for Pongal 2016.

P. C. Sreeram is an Indian cinematographer and film director who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. A student of Madras Film Institute, Sreeram is widely regarded as the "Guru of Cinematography" (English: (lit.) The mentor of cinematography). Apart from his cinematographic works, he was much appreciated for his directorial venture Kuruthipunal which was submitted by India as its official entry to the Oscars in 1996. Sreeram is well known for his association with Mani Ratnam and received critical acclaim for his work in films such as Mouna Ragam, Nayagan, Agni Natchathiram and Geetanjali. He has worked as a cinematographer in over 30 films spanning across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, besides directing three films and a few TV commercials.
