Ilayaraja hosted a musical tribute to the late M.S.Viswanathan on July 27 at Kamarajar Arangam in Chennai. The duo had given nearly 30 songs and the concert was named as ‘Ennulle Ulla MSV’ with musicians who worked with MSV. In spite of the grand event he did not invite anyone from cine industry. Yet Superstar made up his way to the function and was present till the end. Ilayaraja called Rajini to the stage to give away the amount that was collected in the concert and asked him to give it to MSV’s family. Rajini stated that MSV as the God of music and Ilayaraja as the maestro of music and only a maestro knows about God. MSV was never very proud of himself and so though he earned lot of money and fame, he really earned a lot of music lovers in his lifetime. Rajini was also happy to tell that MSV helped needy like Hanuman but lied as a squirrel by citing an example from Ramayana. Finally Rajini gave a word that MSV was the last guru of music and there will be no more persons of such simplicity and fame.
