The remake of French thriller Sleepless Night, Thoonga Vanam is Kamal Haasan’s bilingual in Tamil and Telugu with Trisha pairing with him. Shooting started from the month of May, it progressed fast in Chennai (in a nightclub set near VGP Golden Beach named as Insomnia) and within 10 days, it is going to be wrapped up. Produced by Raajkamal Films International and directed by Kamal’s former assistant Rajesh Selva. The cast also has Asha Sarath, the Papanasam police lady, Madhu Shalini, Uma Riaz Khan, Kishore, Yugi Sethu and Sampath in the pivotal roles. Recently, Prakash Raj has finished his part and tweeted his best wishes for the movie to be success. Ghibran is composing tunes for this movie and this is the fourth time he is working for Kamal after Papanasam. The role of Asha Sarath as the wife of Kamal in the film was considered before with Manisha Koirala.
