Similar to the dubbed release of Kaththi in Telugu, Ilayathalapathy’s Puli is planned to be released in Hindi and Telugu. The first look poster has been released in both the languages that gives a stunning look of Vijay, Sudeep and Sridevi. Its first look teaser released on June 22nd in Tamil has crossed 5 million views recently. 

Starring Vijay, Hansika, Shruti Haasan, Sridevi, Sudeep, Vijayakumar and Vidyullekha Raman in the lead and supporting roles, Puli is an action-adventure directed by Chimbu Devan. Music will be tuned by Devi Sri Prasad. Initially Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were said to have female leads but later replaced by Hansika and Shruti.

Made with 118 crores, the release date is not yet confirmed by the filmmakers. The producers, Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar are happy that the movie is getting exciting offers for the Telugu distribution rights after the buzz created due to the release of teaser. The Kerala, Karnataka and overseas distribution rights as well as the satellite rights all have been sold for a record price.

Puli is a Tamil fantasy film written and directed by Chimbu Deven. The film features Vijay in the leading role alongside an ensemble cast including Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Sridevi and Sudeep. Produced by Vijay's press relations officer Selvakumar, the project has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad and has Natarajan Subramaniam as cinematographer.
