Dhanush’s Maari and Simbu’s Vaalu are both going to release on July 17. Director Balaji mohan had tweeted that the release of Maari is confirmed on the planned date. The trailer was itself a hit with a red carpet welcome by the youngster fans and rose to 3 million views in YouTube. Dhanush and Simbu had been in a clash in 2002 for Thulluvadho Ilamai and Kadhal Azhivathillai, 2004 for Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan and Kovil, Dreams and Manmadhan also in 2004 and this is the fourth time. Though on screen cold war take place, they both seem to share a good rapport behind and Simbu had recently starred in Kaaka Muttai Dhanush’s production. Maari has Kajal, Vijay Yesudas and Anirudh in special appearance and Vaalu has Hansika, VTV Ganesh and Santhanam. Meanwhile, the Madras High Court had stayed the release of Vaalu temporarily on grounds of Production issues between Chimbu Cine Arts and Magnum Rays Production House. So will Dhanush will win the local battle or Simbu will compete too?
