Veteran director K.Viswanath is best known for directing Sankarabharanam, Salangai Oli and many other cult classics. He has recently said in an interview that he would like to direct a film like Salangai Oli in the future. He also stated that recent day actors like Jr. NTR must come forward and accept such stories. Earlier, the composer A.R.Rahman also expressed his wish to work in projects with music as its backbone and had a dream to compose music if Salangai Oli or Sippikkul Muthu was made again. But the director has turned down his desire that it will not work out in these modern times. Having stated so previously, change in the mind of Viswanath now will bring about a change of things. It is expected that these two legends will collaborate and give us a magical movie on the line of famous classics.
