Selvaraghavan is back again in the industry with his new venture titled ‘Kaan’ (meaning forest) featuring STR in the lead. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja who is seen collaborating with Selva after a decade (after the movie ‘Pudhupettai’). Catherine Tresa and Taapsee Pannu play the female interests of Simbu. Jagapathi Babu, who was last seen in Thaandavam, also plays a supporting role. The first look poster was unveiled few weeks back and created a stir among the fans. It is also doubted to be released in other foreign languages. The director also quoted that he will be clear with the release of the movie in various languages in his future interviews. The movie is of the action-thriller genre and supposedly to be released in the month of December. Trisha was first chosen to play the female lead but she walked out of the film due to unknown reasons. Simbu plays the role of the gangster and Taapsee in a bold character.
