Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor were last seen together in ‘Ajooba’ in the year 1991 directed by Shashi Kapoor. The Bollywood legends are reuniting after 26 years for a film directed by Umesh Shukla. It should also be noted that the director previously directed Abhishek Bachchan & Rishi Kapoor in ‘All is Well’.

Somya Joshi has written this film and the plot of ‘102 Not Out’ revolves between 102 year old aspiring father essayed by Amitabh Bachchan and 75 year old skeptical son played by Rishi Kapoor. The father tries to break the oldest person world record which will be held by a Chinese man in the film.

Interesting indeed! A R Rahman will be composing music for ‘102 Not Out’. Paresh Rawal was supposed to play the role of 75 year old son in the film. Rishi Kapoor bagged the role since Paresh Rawal opted of the film.

Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor to reunite for ‘102 Not Out’ after 26 years!

Director – Actress Nandita Das is currently busy in directing a film with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the film is titles as ‘Manto’. This biographical film is based on the Indo – Pakistan writer Saadat Hasan Manto.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui portrays the role of Saadat Haasan Manto in the film and legendary actor Rishi Kapoor is roped in to play a crucial role in the film. This special role was supposed to be played by late veteran actor Om Puri, but the actor unfortunately passed away leaving a void in the industry. The director was looking for an actor to replace Om Puri’s role and Rishi Kapoor was preferred to play the special role. Rishi Kappor’s role in the film is not yet revealed!

Exciting Nawazuddin Siddiqui tweeted in his official twitter handle and stated:

“It was indeed a pleasure sharing the screen with @chintskap Sir, what an amazing energy you possess even now.”

Rishi Kapoor responded to him and tweeted:

Rishi Kapoor roped in for a crucial role in Nandita Das’s ‘Manto’

Hrithik Roshan is all set to collaborate with director Karan Malhotra for the second time after ‘Agneepath’. The film is going to be a Comedy – Drama & looks like Rishi Kapoor is a part of this film too. Rumors are stating that Rishi Kapoor will be essaying the role of a Sardaar in this film. Hrithik Roshan will be seen in a dual role and  he might portray the Sardaar role in one of the characters.

Karan Johar will be producing this film under his banner ‘Dharma Productions’. The director will be rewriting the script as it relates to Arjun’s Kapoor’s ‘Mubarakan’!! The rest of the cast and crew will be finalized soon.
