
The much-anticipated debut directorial venture of Manoj Bharathiraja, titled "Margazhi Thingal," has officially begun its filming journey, as announced by the makers on Wednesday. The film marks the remarkable presence of Manoj's father, the esteemed filmmaker Bharathiraja, in the lead role. Joining them are talented newcomers Rakshana and Shyam Selvan in significant roles. Additionally, the makers shared glimpses of the auspicious pooja ceremony conducted on the film's sets, creating excitement among fans and the industry alike.

Earlier, the makers of "Margazhi Thingal" unveiled an intriguing first-look poster, showcasing Bharathiraja in a village setting, holding a stick. Superimposed in the background is the silhouette of a couple, adding to the visual appeal.

Under the Vennila Productions banner, the film is supported by director Suseenthiran, while the music will be composed by GV Prakash. The cinematography duties will be handled by AR Suriya, and Thiyagu will take charge of the editing.

Working in back to back three projects like ‘Genius’ (which is based on the parents and teachers pressurizing students), ‘Angelina’ (which is about the life of college students) and ‘Champion’ (which has a football related storyline), Director Suseenthiran is now stepping his feet to direct his next movie simultaneously. Suseenthiran is known for his best screenplay skills which engages all kind of audiences in theater. He is also known for making sports related movies, already touching two sports in his movies (‘Vennila Kabadi Kulu’ and ‘Jeeva’), third one 'Champion' is also in the making.

His fourth movie on sports also ready and the movie is stated to be about the story of Women’s Kabbadi team which portrays the emotion of seven girls.  the brand new movie is stated to be different from his first movie ‘Vennila Kabadi Kulu’ and will fall in the lines of Sharukh Khan’s ‘Chak De! India’. Planning to start rolling up for this movie by the end of September or in the first week of October, the details about the cast and crew are expected to be announced once finalized.
