Soori and director Durai Senthilkumar are teaming up for a movie called Karudan? Well, guess what! They're showing us the first look of the movie tomorrow. The creators shared the news on their social media pages.

Karudan started filming in September last year and features Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan, and Samuthirakani in important roles. Vetrimaaran wrote the script, and the cast includes Revathi Sharma, Sshivada, Mottai Rajendran, Mime Gopi, and more. 

Director RS Durai Senthilkumar's latest work was as a co-writer for Viduthalai Part 1. His last full movie was Dhanush's Pattas in 2020.

Karudan is made by Lark Studios and Grassroots Film Company. Yuvan Shankar Raja is creating the music, and the team includes Arthur A Wilson for the camera work and Pradeep E Raghav for editing.

Actor Dhanush was the producer for R S Durai Senthilkumar’s previous direction ventures ‘Ethirneechal’ and ‘Kaaki Sattai’ respectively. He produced under his banner Wunderbar Films. Dhanush also starred in Durai’s political thriller film ‘Kodi’ was a blockbuster hit, it also received critically acclaimed reviews. The film dubbed in Telugu as ‘Dharmayogi’ received positive reviews and it was a huge success in Tollywood too.
Now director Durai is all set to cast Dhanush in his next film. He also conveyed that the official announcement from the team can be expected within two months.

Dhanush has lots of projects coming up this year. He is simultaneously working in VIP2, Enai Noki Paayum Thota and his directorial debut Power Paandi.

‘Kodi’ director’s next with Dhanush?

One among the Diwali release, Dhanush starrer Kodi has been undertaking several steps in promoting the film. It will be clashing with another mega release Kashmora which is made with a huge budget and hence the Kodi makers have come forward a step above in their promotional activities. 

The entire team of cast and crew members like Dhanush, Trisha, lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj and supporting actor Kaali Venkat are going to have a direct visit to selected districts across Tamil Nadu. They will be covering Salem, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai and Nellai districts on October 25 and 26.

The team is focussing on the South districts as the movie was also extensively shot in those locales. Produced by Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company, Kodi has been censored with a clean U certificate recently and is geared to release on October 28. Touted to be a political thriller, this Durai Senthilkumar directorial has got much hype from the day of release of its first look teaser and trailer.

Being the first time for Dhanush to don dual roles, the cast also has the Premam actress Anupama Parameshwaran playing another female lead. The tunes composed by Santhosh Narayanan was also well received with the audio launched on October 5.
