Rajinikanth's long-awaited movie, Vettaiyan, will be shown in theaters in October. The company making the movie, Lyca Productions, shared this news on their social media accounts last Sunday.

The upcoming movie, directed by TJ Gnanavel, who gained fame for directing the Suriya-starrer Jai Bhim (2021), stars a big group of actors. This includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Rithika Singh, and VJ Rakshan. Notably, Bachchan and Rajinikanth will be acting together after 33 years, last seen together in the Hindi film Hum in 1991.

Filming for Vettaiyan started last October. The movie's music is by Anirudh Ravichander, who has worked with Rajinikanth before on Petta, Darbar, and Jailer. The cinematographer is S R Kathir and the editor is Philomin Raj.

On Thursday, the first look poster for Rajinikanth's upcoming film "Thalaivar 171," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was revealed.

The poster shows Rajinikanth in a youthful appearance, with a clock in the background and Rajini handcuffed by a chain made of watches.

Lokesh Kanagaraj announced that the film's title will be revealed on April 22 through a teaser video.
"Thalaivar 171" is produced by Sun Pictures. The technical team includes Lokesh's usual collaborators Anirudh and Anbariv.

Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his upcoming movie, "Vettaiyan," directed by TJ Gnanavel. Lokesh is also set to direct "Kaithi 2," featuring Karthi.

At the launch of a music video starring him and Shruti Haasan, Lokesh clarified that he's not transitioning to acting; his focus remains on directing films. He mentioned that filming for "Thalaivar 171" will commence in June.

Lyca Productions, the company making Aishwarya Rajinikanth's movie Lal Salaam, shared on Tuesday that the audio launch for the film is scheduled for January 26 at the Sri Sairam Institute of Technology in Chennai.

The creators also mentioned that the music composer AR Rahman and Rajinikanth, who has a small role in the movie, will attend the event. The main roles in the film are played by Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth.

Lal Salaam, described as a sports drama, is anticipated to carry political significance as well. The movie's supporting cast features Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, Thangadurai, and KS Ravikumar. In a special appearance, veteran cricketer Kapil Dev will also make an appearance in the film.

Lal Salaam is Aishwarya's first project with her dad Rajinikanth and musician AR Rahman. Vishnu Rangasamy handles the camera work, and Pravin Baaskar is in charge of editing. Lyca Productions is supporting the film, and it's scheduled to release in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada on February 9th.
