Filmmaker Mari Selvaraj and actor Dhruv Vikram are making a movie supported by Pa Ranjith's Neelam Studios and Applause Entertainment. The movie is called "Bison Kaalamaadan". It's worth mentioning that this movie reunites Mari Selvaraj with producer Pa Ranjith after their successful collaboration on "Pariyerum Perumal" in 2018.

The creators revealed this news with a new poster showing Dhruv standing and a large bison sculpture behind him

Bison tells the real-life story of Kabaddi Player Manathi Ganesan, who won the Arjuna Award. Dhruv plays Ganesan, and Anupama Parameswaran has a significant role.

In addition to Dhruv and Anupama, Bison also features Lal, Pasupathy Masilamani, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, Aruvi Madhanand Kalaiyarasan, and others.

The movie's team includes music composer Nivas K Prasanna, editor Sakthi Thiru, and cinematographer Ezhil Arasu.

The makers made an announcement on Thursday via Twitter, revealing that the trailer for Mari Selvaraj's latest directorial venture, "Maamannan," is scheduled to be released on June 16. This highly-anticipated film features a stellar cast including Udayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil, and Keerthy Suresh in prominent roles

Set for a June release, "Maamannan" boasts an ensemble star cast and features music composed by the renowned AR Rahman. Director Mari Selvaraj has described the film as a significant political drama that will be a milestone in his career. He has also hinted at Vadivelu's role being a surprise, showcasing the legendary actor's talent.

"Maamannan" is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies and showcases the cinematography skills of Theni Eswar. The editing is being skillfully handled by Selva. The film's songs are adorned with the lyrical prowess of Yugabharathi, while the dance choreography is expertly managed by Sandy.

The much-awaited soundtrack of "Maamannan," composed by the renowned A.R. Rahman, comprises seven enchanting songs. Among them, the previously released tracks "Raasa Kannu" and "Jigu Jigu Rail" have already captured the attention of fans. The remaining songs on the list include "Kodi Parakura Kaalam," "Nenjame Nenjame," "Utchanthala," "Manna Maamanna," and "Veerane."

A Extra ordinary lineup of singers, including Kalpana Raghavendar, Rakshita Suresh, Deepthi Suresh, Aparna Harikumar, Vijay Yesudas, Shakthisree Gopalan, A.R.
