‘Ilai’ is an upcoming Tamil film directed by Debutante Bineesh Raj and actress Swathy Narayanan makes her Tamil debut with this film. Sujith, Kannada actor King Mohan, Malayalam actress Sridevi, Viju Prakash, Kanagalatha and Kavya have played crucial roles in ‘Ilai’. This film stresses the importance of Girl’s education.
 

Recently censor board reviewed the film and appreciated the team for handling a sensitive subject. ‘Ilai’ film was granted with ‘U’ certificate. Director Bineesh Raj is happy over the censor board appreciation and he is also positive that this film has the elements equal to a typical commercial entertainer.

 
Santhosh Anjal has handled cinematography and editing is done by Dijo Joseph. Music for the film is composed by Vishnu V Divakaran. ‘Leaf productions International’ has produced this film and director Bineesh Raj will be distributing the film under his banner ‘Action Reaction’ across Tamil Nadu during its release. ‘Ilai’ is all set to hit the theaters on April 21.

When seen from outside, people recognize the success but they don’t know the pain a woman has gone through to achieve it. One such film which portrays women’s education in ‘Ilai’
 
‘Ilai’ (leaf) is an upcoming Tamil film, which stresses the importance of girls’ education in a family. This film is directed by debutant Binish Raj and produced by ‘Leaf Productions International’. Swathy Narayanan who has acted in many Malayalam films is making her debut in Tamil with this film.
 
The movie plot takes place in the year 1991 in a village where girls are not allowed to pursue their education. The heroine who is inspired to pursue her education faces lots of hurdles to study. Her father is supportive to achieve her dreams while heroine’s mother wants her to get married. The rest of the story portrays whether the heroine is able to pursue her education and achieve her dreams.
 
The director is confident about the movie plot and he is also positive that this film has characteristics of a commercial entertainer.
 
Music for the film is composed by debutant Vishnu V Divakaran and Santhosh Anjal has handled the cinematography. This film also features Kannada actor King Mohan, Malayalam actress Sridevi, Viju Prakash and Kavya in crucial roles.
