In a recent social media post, director Selvaraghavan announced that he's part of Dhanush's upcoming movie, Raayan. There were rumors that Selvaraghavan would be writing the script, but he clarified that this isn't true. 

Known for directing movies like Kaadhal Kondein (2003), 7G Rainbow Colony (2004), and Pudhupettai (2006), Selvaraghavan recently started his acting career in Vijay's latest movie, Beast. It's worth noting that Dhanush acted in Thulluvadho Ilamai, which was Selvaraghavan's directorial debut.

This is the first time Dhanush will direct his brother in Raayan. The movie also features Sundeep Kishan, who acted alongside Dhanush in Captain Miller, along with Kalidas Jayaram and SJ Suryah. AR Rahman will provide the music for Raayan, with Om Prakash as the cinematographer and Prasanna GK as the editor.

Raayan is expected to be released in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu languages across India at the same time. It marks the actor's 50th film in his career.


Selvaraghavan Joins Dhanush Raayan Movie Team

On Monday, Dhanush unveiled the first look poster of his 50th movie, formerly known as D50, now titled Raayan. In this film, Dhanush will also be directing and portraying the character named Raayan.

The first poster shows Dhanush wearing a dirty apron with blood on it and holding a sharp tool. Behind him, Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan are seen holding knives with blood stains. It's said that SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, and Aparna Balamurali are also part of the movie, but the creators haven't confirmed this yet.

The team behind the scenes includes music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Om Prakash, editing by Prasanna GK, and action choreography by Peter Hein. Filming for D50 finished in December last year, and it's now in the final editing stage.


Dhanush 50th movie is now called “Raayan”.

Kalidas Jayaram has traveled to Taiwan to act in Indian 2, a movie directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Haasan. The original film, Indian, was released in 1996 and was a huge hit that revolved around the Indian freedom struggle and the fight against corruption. After many years, the second part of the movie was planned and titled Indian 2. Lyca Productions came on board as the production company for the film.

Kalidas Jayaram, who portrayed Kamal Haasan's son in the movie Vikram, has commenced filming for Indian 2. He even shared a photograph of himself with director Shankar from Taiwan on his Instagram page.

Kalidas Jayaram is an Indian film actor who appears in Malayalam and Tamil films.

The son of film actors Jayaram and Parvathy, Kalidas made his debut with the Malayalam film Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal (2000) at the age of 7. Later he starred in the film Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum (2003) which won him the National Award for Best Child Artist. Kalidas made his debut as a lead actor with the Tamil film Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum (2016) directed by Amudeshwar which was released in November 2016. Ebrid Shine directorial "Poomaram" (2017) is his first Malayalam movie as a hero.
