Release Update for 'Thangalaan' Announced Today at 5 PM

Director Pa Ranjith and actor Vikram's movie, Thangalaan, has been highly anticipated since it was first announced. To celebrate actor Vikram's birthday, the filmmakers gave a sneak peek of the upcoming film.

The video reveals how the actor from Ponniyin Selvan changes into a leader for his community. He learns to ride horses, trains hard for tough action scenes under the hot sun, and even gets covered in mud.

Pa Ranjith directs Thangalaan, featuring Vikram and Parvathy Thiruvothu as the main characters. Malavika Mohanan has an important role, and the cast also includes Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and Hari Krishnan.

Studio Green and Neelam Productions are supporting Thangalaan. The movie's music is by GV Prakash, marking their first work together with the filmmaker. Tamil Prabha is a co-writer, and Selva RK and SS Murthi are handling editing and art, respectively.

The film is currently in post-production, and the release date hasn't been announced yet. Initially planned for January 26, the release has been postponed. Thangalaan will be available in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

On Monday, Pa Ranjith's Neelam Social revealed that their new anthology movie, "Kalli Paal La Oru Tea," will debut on the Neelam Social YouTube channel on March 20th, at 6 pm. The anthology consists of four films, all directed by women.

Before, the creators released a trailer. In it, a young girl named Veera Mangai introduces herself with a voiceover. Then, we see quick scenes from the upcoming anthology.

All four movies in Kalli Paal La Oru Tea are directed by women filmmakers: Abishaa, Sneha Belcin (deceased), Kanishka, and Sivaranjani. The technical team includes cinematographers Kiran Mayi and Vigneshwari, music composer Revaa, and editors Shanthini, Santhosh Krishnan, and Sudhish Krishna.

Release Date Set for Neelam Social Movie "Kalli Paal La Oru Tea"

Pa. Ranjith is an Indian film director who has made Tamil language films. He made his directorial debut with 2012 cult romantic comedy film Attakathi, before earning unanimously positive reviews for his second film, the drama Madras (2014).  In 2016, he wrote and directed the gangster-drama Kabali, starring Rajinikanth.
