"Kalki 2898 - A.D. is an upcoming Indian epic science fiction dystopian film helmed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies. The movie boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Originally announced as 'Project K' in February 2020 to mark Vyjayanthi Movies' 50th anniversary, the film faced a year-long delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming eventually commenced in July 2021 at the futuristic set in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi. With a staggering budget of ₹600 crore (US$75 million), Kalki 2898 AD holds the title of being the most expensive Indian film ever made.
