Sundara Purushan is a Tamil film starring Livingston and Rambha in lead role that became a runaway hit.[2] Livingston until then, acted only as a villain or a sidekick but the movie gave him a much needed breakthrough. Sundara Purushan also dealt with the serious issue of unwilling marriages but with a comical undertone from start to finish. Livingston also wrote the story and the screenplay for the movie. The movie was remade in Kannada as Chanappa Channegowda with BC Patil and in Telugu as Andala Ramudu in 2006 starring Sunil and Aarti Agarwal.
