Remember the assistant director and close friend of Nayanthara in ‘Maya’? It’s Lakshmi Priya, the talented actress, who has played powerful roles in many films and short films.

She was seen in a remarkable role called Silandhi in ‘Sutta Kadhai’. She also made her Malayalam debut in ‘Angels’ and her role in ‘Salt Mango Tree’ opposite Biju Menon was highly appreciated. Her other notable Tamil films include Gouravam, Kalam and Mundhinam Paartheney.

The talented actress is now roped in to play as a cop in debutante director Prithvi’s ‘Rendaavathu Aattam’ and actor Sarath Kumar plays the lead role, who will also be seen as a cop. The plot of the film involves, Lakshmi Priya assisting Sarath Kumar for a murder investigation which takes place in a theater.

Lakshmi Priya to essay the role of a cop in Sarath Kumar’s ‘Rendaavathu Aattam’

Nowadays, debutante directors are directing best films in Tamil. Prithvi Adithya, who has worked as an assistant in ‘Thozha’ & ‘Grahanam’ is all set to direct his debut film. He is also the executive producer of the critically acclaimed film ‘8 Thottakkal’.

Prithvi has roped in actor Sarath Kumar to portray the role of a cop in his film titled as ‘Rendaavadhu Aattam’. Sarath Kumar has accepted for the role and he will be seen as an investigating cop different from his usual cop roles in the films.

The film’s plot revolves around a crime which takes place inside a theater during the night show. An official announcement is expected regarding the rest of the cast and crew.
