Ranbir Kapoor last seen in ‘Tamasha’, is all set to work with Ayan Mukherji in his next film ‘Dragon’. Ayan Mukherji and Ranbir have already worked together in films like ‘Wake up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. Looks like the title of the movie ‘Dragon’ is titled temporarily and Alia Bhatt will be playing the lead opposite Ranbir. The recent buzz is that Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in to play a crucial role in the film.

The movie will be a fantasy based mythological film in modern times. The film happens to a trilogy where the hero has special powers to play with the fire. Even though there have been Indian superheroes like Krrish, G One and the Flying Jatt, this film happens to be the dream project of the director Ayan Mukherji.

The film is set to go on floors this year sometime later as Ranbir is waiting for the release of his film ‘Jagga Jasoos’ while Alia is waiting for her film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ to be released.

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt & Amitabh Bachchan unite for a movie?

Ayan Mukherjee is currently working on the script of his upcoming superhero film, which is tentatively titled as Dragon. The filmmaker is apparently toying with several ideas to make the movie unique of all the superhero films. On his way, he has stumbled upon the idea of portraying the movie’s leading lady as a superheroine !

Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the main roles, Ranbir will be seen as a superhero to play with fire while Alia’s gift is not yet revealed. In fact we also hear that the story will have many other characters possessing superhuman abilities. So this film could also be considered as a story of normal people turning superheroes. 

Produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, Amitabh Bachchan is a confirmed member of the cast in a pivotal role. The final title of the film will be revealed shortly while the shooting will commence only in 2017. Currently Ranbir is working for Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil while Alia is filming for Badrinath Ki Dulhania which is also produced by Karan Johar.
